On Tuesday 8th of October 2024, Kim, Al and myself (Pam) visited a company called Servitec who make survival equipment based in Ellesmere Port.

The purpose of this visit was to oversee the staff packing approximately 300 of the Troop Aid Grab Bags.

We were made very welcome by all of the management and staff that we met on the day, and what an amazing job they did packing all these emergency packs for our injured service personnel.  Not just the packing but the staff from the facilities department came to our warehouse to pick up the stock and anything we were short of they bought themselves.

A  huge thank you to Tony Jones  ( Facilities Manager) for organising the purchase of some stock.  A big thank you also goes to Selina O’keefe of the People Department  (HR) who organised our visit and coordinated the staff into packing groups on the day.
Last but by no means least the Catering staff who fed us with Tea and coffee plus a typical  Army lunch which we all enjoyed before we travelled back to Solihull, having had the most enjoyable day, which also included a tour of the factory where they make survival equipment for their large MOD contract.
