Armed Forces Day at the National Memorial Aboretum

TROOP AID attended the Sunday event at the NMA.

We gave a lot of people some information about the charity and made a number of excellent contacts. We had a full complement of volunteers, namely Kim Freeman, Diana Frangou, Katherine Carter, Pam Sutton and our Chairman Al Sutton.

The National Memorial Arboretum is the United Kingdom’s year-round centre of remembrance, situated on the edge of the National Forest in Alrewas, Staffordshire. Established as part of The Royal British Legion family of charities, it provides a 150-acre living landscape where more than 400 memorials honour those who have served the nation in military, emergency, and civilian capacities.

Armed Forces Day at the National Memorial Arboretum is a major annual celebration and tribute to the UK’s Armed Forces community — including serving personnel, veterans, cadets and their families.

The Arboretum’s role as the UK’s centre of remembrance makes it a symbolic venue for these national celebrations, combining reflection with celebration and community activities.

A British Military Charity with a Worldwide Reach

From our warehouse in Solihull, volunteers hand-pack the Grab Bags, each one bound for a hospital or military treatment facility anywhere in the world where a British service person within the Royal Navy, Army or Royal Air Force needs it most.

We may be small, but our impact is worldwide. And with your help, we will be able to support our injured service personnel as long as they need us.

Join us. Donate today. Help us support injured servicemen and women in their hour of need.
