Rotary Wylde Green supporting Troop Aid
Rotary Wylde Green became involved with Troop Aid back in the very early days of the charity after a presentation from Pam and Al Sutton.
Their members have assisted in a variety of ways – they’ve raised funds at afternoon tea events they’ve organised, helped at the Birmingham Tattoo, packed shopping bags at M&S when it was the charity of the year, helped at supermarket collections, attended fairs, packed Grab Bags, attended the Troop Aid Ball, given presentations about the charity and invited Troop Aid to the national Rotary International Conference a number of times.

Rotary Wylde Green was founded in 1991 and continues going strong! It has a membership of enthusiastic, fun loving, active volunteers who give of their time and talents to serve communities. It works under the umbrella of Rotary International, a global network of more than 1.2 million neighbours, friends, and leaders who volunteer their skills and resources to solve issues and address community needs.
In essence, the Rotary Club of Wylde Green exists to mobilise local volunteers and resources in service of others — helping people in need locally, nationally, and internationally, supporting community well-being, education, health and cross-cultural understanding while fostering fellowship among its members. Its work reflects the Rotary ethos of “Service Above Self”
